The Location

Padstow, situated on the North Cornish coast, between Bude and Newquay, is an 'Old World' fishing port with great charm and character. The outstanding natural scenery coupled with the attraction of a working port provides an ideal location around which to centre your holiday.

With numerous sandy beaches and coves nearby, visitors can bathe in idyllic surroundings or enjoy the large variety of water sports provided locally. There are coastal footpaths to explore and a cycle way along the disused railway track stretching inland to Wadebridge and Bodmin, following the route of the 'Atlantic Coast Express'. Fishing and boat trips run daily from the harbour, and freshly caught crabs and lobsters can be purchased at the quay side. Two excellent golf courses are also within easy reach.

All in all, Padstow is an ideal destination for those seeking refuge from the pressures of modern life.

The Apartments

Market Square Holiday Apartments, are conveniently situated in the centre of Padstow, less than fifty yards from the harbour and within walking distance of a large choice of shops, restaurants and pubs.The apartments have been extensively refurbished and refitted throughout whilst retaining their traditional character. The apartments, 'Coral' and 'Shell' are on the first floor, whilst 'Oyster' and 'Pearl' are on the second. The holiday apartments are self-contained with their own entrance. The four apartments have the benefit of a storage heater and colour television. (Electricity is supplied by way of a one pound coin slot meter.)

Housed in a character property over two hundred year's old, formerly Quintrell's Stationers, as mentioned in 'Summoned By Bells' by the late Sir John Betjeman poet laureate.

Shell - Sleeps 2 + 1
A comfortable first floor apartment.

A short passage way leads into the open plan lounge/diner which has a three piece suite, table and chairs, electric fire, storage heater and colour television.

The kitchen comprises a galley style kitchen with fitted units, a double oven ceramic hob cooker, fridge and microwave.

The bedroom has a 4’6” double bed with fitted wardrobe, dressing table and bedside cabinets.

The shower room with its champagne suite consists of a wash hand basin, w.c. and shower cubicle with folding door.

Coral - Sleeps 3 + 2
Coral is situated on the first floor and has access to the sun trap patio terrace and courtyard garden.

The lounge has a three piece suite (the settee easily converts to a comfortable sprung double bed), there is an electric fire and colour television. An archway leads to the kitchen/diner.

The kitchen/diner has fitted units, an electric cooker, fridge and microwave. There is a storage heater, pine table and chairs and window seat.

Bedroom one has a 4'6" double bed, a built-in wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside cabinets

The second bedroom is a single room with a 3ft pine bed and built-in wardrobe.

The bright shower room has a white and blue theme with a white wash hand basin, w. c. and shower cubicle with folding door.

Oyster - Sleeps 4 + 1
Oyster is situated on the second floor and has access to the sun trap patio terrace and courtyard garden.

Comprising of a bright open-plan lounge/diner, with three piece suite, table and chairs, electric fire, storage heater and a colour television.

The modern fitted kitchen with plenty of cupboard space has a double oven electric cooker with ceramic hob, extractor fan, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave.

The first bedroom has a 4’6” double bed with built in wardrobes and dressing table with bedside cabinets. Bedroom two has two 3’0” divans, a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

There is a bright attractive shower room with a white suite comprising wash hand basin, w.c. and shower cubicle with corner entry sliding doors.

Pearl - Sleeps 2
Pearl is a pretty second floor apartment perfect for two.

There is a lobby area with a large cupboard with space for guests' cases. A door leads to the lounge/dining room which has a cottage suite, dining table and chairs, electric fire, storage heater and colour television.

The open plan kitchen with attractive pine fitted units house a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as the electric cooker, extractor fan, fridge and microwave.

The bedroom has two three foot divans which connect together to form a double bed giving alternative sleeping arrangements. There is also a built in wardrobe, pine chest of drawers and bedside cabinets.

The shower room has a pink and white theme with wash hand basin, w.c. and shower cubicle with folding door.
