Getting Here

Padstow is easy to reach served by good road links to Exeter, and from there to Bristol and the North, or London to the East. The nearest railway station is at Bodmin, and the local airport for Cornwall is located just 12 miles away near Newquay.

By Road

From Exeter follow the A30 to Launceston. Approximately two miles futher west of Launceston, at Kennards House you have the choice of continuing on the A30, or leaving the A30 and joining the A395 which is signposted North Cornwall.

A30 Via Bodmin

The A30 continues to Bodmin, where you should leave the A30 and join A38 which becomes the A389.

Continue through Bodmin, following the signs for Wadebridge, staying on the A389.

Upon reaching Wadebridge, stay on the A389 (do not follow the sign for Egloshayle). You will then reach the 'Ball' roundabout where the A39 and A389 meet.

A39 Via Camelford

Follow the A395 until it reaches the A39 just past Trewassa. At the T junction turnn left onto the A39 heading towards Wadebridge. This will take you through the centre of Camelford, and continues to Wadebridge.

At Wadebridge you reach the 'Ball' roundabout where the A39 and A389 meet.

Take the exit signposted Truro, Newquay Padstow and continue on the A39.

Just past Whitecross, take the A389 and continue through St. Issey and Little Petherick to the T junction where the A389 joins the B3274. Turn right here and follow the signs to Padstow.

If you are towing a caravan or driving a mobile home you should stay on the A39 at Whitecross and continue to Winnards Perch roundabout and join the B3274 there. The A389 through St. Issey and Little Petherick is not suitable for large vehicles.

By Rail

The nearest rail station is at Bodmin Parkway, on the south east side of Bodmin. There is a bus service from here to Wadebridge and Padstow timed to meet train arrivals. There is also a taxi service available from here.

By Air

Regular flights to Newquay

The nearest airport is Newquay International located at St. Merryn. From here there are regular flights to Gatwick, Bristol and other regional airports.
